a "road rally" across the Denver
area to benefit those with Down
syndrome and the families who

We started Savannah's Race because we wanted a unique and fun way to raise funds for Down syndrome awareness.
Imagine The Amazing Race, but just one day and only in the Denver area. It's a day of fun & adventure - all for a wonderful cause.

Savannah's Race, Inc. was formed as a Colorado non-profit corporation on February 13, 2008.
The IRS recognizes Savannah's Race, Inc. as a tax-exempt charitable organization.
All donations to this charity are tax-deductible.

The inaugural Savannah's Race was held on June 14, 2008.

Savannah's Race 2008
The inaugural year of the Race was full of fun challenges - ranging from having to count the number of orange seats in the Bronco's mane at INVESCO Field at Mile High...to diving in a pool to retrieve 20 laminated letters that teams had to use to solve a word puzzle.
Savannah's Race, Inc. donated $12,200 to the Mile High Down Syndrome Association that year - thanks to all our generous donors!
Savannah's Race 2009
The second year of the Race was more difficult than the first, and was reported to be more fun, as well.
Teams were required to choose between the scariest ride at Elitch Gardens and three slower rides - ride the Alpine Slide at Heritage Square, put together food boxes at the Denver Rescue Mission, complete four tasks at the Denver Zoo, dig for buried treasure, and MUCH more!
In 2009, Savannah's Race, Inc. donated $18,000 to the Mile High Down Syndrome Association! We continue to be amazed at the generosity of those around us. These funds go toward efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of those with Down syndrome.
Savannah's Race 2010 will be taking place on June 12th. The race starts at 9am and usually takes all day - just depends on how fast your team is!

Teams are usually sponsored by a company. Do you have a company in mind that would sponsor you? GREAT! If not, your team can always raise the entrance funds on its own.
This year, we have several organizations that we are very excited to donate to - all very worthy charitable organizations that directly help individuals with Down syndrome.
